Our Privacy Commitment
This Privacy Policy explains how Neqeo ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Neqeo mobile application (the "App"). We are deeply committed to privacy-by-design principles. Neqeo is built around the idea that your creative inspiration — your images, color palettes, and mood boards — belongs entirely to you and should remain under your control.
Key principle: Neqeo does not require you to create an account, provide a username or password, or supply personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the core features of the App.
Information We Do and Do Not Collect
We do not collect personal data in the traditional sense. Because there is no account system, we do not gather identifiers such as your real name, email address, mailing address, date of birth, or phone number. The App operates predominantly on your device, and the vast majority of data processing occurs locally without transmission to our servers.
Local Content
Images, palettes, mood boards, tags, and descriptions you create or import are stored locally on your device.
Purchase Receipts
If you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes the transaction. We only receive anonymized confirmation data from the App Store.
Analytics
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs that track your behavior across apps or websites.
Advertising
We do not display advertisements and do not share data with advertising networks.
How Your Data Is Stored and Processed
All creative content — including imported images, generated color palettes, mood board layouts, and metadata — is stored within your device's secure sandboxed storage (using local database technologies such as Hive and the device file system). Color extraction algorithms run entirely on your device using local compute resources, including background isolates, to ensure that your images are never uploaded to remote servers for analysis.
When you choose to export or share a mood board, that action is handled through your device's native operating system sharing sheet. Once you select a destination (such as saving to your photo library, sending via Messages, or posting to a social platform), the transfer is governed by the privacy practices of the service you select, not by Neqeo.
Your Privacy Rights Under U.S. and California Law
Depending on where you reside, you may have certain privacy rights. We honor the following principles for all users, including residents of California covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know: Because we do not centrally collect personal information, there is no database of your usage history or creative content for us to disclose. You can inspect all data stored by the App directly on your device.
- Right to Delete: You may delete any inspiration item, palette, or mood board at any time within the App. Doing so removes the associated records from your local database and the corresponding files from your device storage. Uninstalling the App will also remove its local data, subject to any operating system retention policies.
- Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information (as defined by the CCPA/CPRA) and have no plans to do so. We also do not engage in "sharing" or "targeted advertising" as those terms are defined under California law.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
If you are a California resident and wish to make a formal privacy request, you may contact us using the email address at the bottom of this Policy.
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Neqeo is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at the email below, and we will take steps to delete such information promptly. Because the App does not require accounts and processes data locally, the risk of inadvertent collection is minimal.
Data Security Measures
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the App and its limited data handling. Because your creative content resides on your device, the security of that data also depends on the physical and software security measures you maintain on your device, such as passcodes, biometric locks, and keeping your operating system up to date. We recommend that you regularly back up your device to prevent accidental loss of your mood boards and palettes.
Important: No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect data, we cannot guarantee absolute security against all possible threats.
Third-Party Services and Links
The App may utilize certain third-party libraries and frameworks (such as Flutter, Riverpod, and Hive) to provide functionality. These libraries are embedded in the App and operate locally. We do not integrate with third-party services that collect personal data from you without your explicit action.
If you choose to share content to a third-party platform (for example, Instagram, Pinterest, or email), that platform's privacy policy will govern the data you transmit. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external service before sharing your creative work.
International Users
Neqeo is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information (to the limited extent it exists) will be processed and stored on your local device in accordance with your device's regional settings. We do not transfer personal data across borders because we do not centrally host such data.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or app features. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Policy within the App or through other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
